I decided to stick with my original plan to test out Mambo CMS further locally. The required files were downloaded from Mambo and begun installation after i verified i had the correct system requirements. I also had download and install php, mysql and apache for the CMS to work.

Once everything was installed and operationg correctly on the server, a check was run and the licensing completed. The first thing i noticed at the CMS home page was the selection of 2 different modes, this being simple and advanced. The simple section had only help, all content, static content and frontpage sections, while the advanced user modes displays all these plus sections, categories, menu’s and trash.
